Where and how to pay the visa fees
Channels of payment:

By cash across the submission counter. Please note this will involve a cashier’s order fee of THB 35 per cashier order.
By cashier's order/ banker's draft issued from any bank and can be submitted at the VFS India visa application centre payable to "Embassy of India, Bangkok." Outstation cashier’s order are subject to clearing and must be made payable at Bangkok only Cheques, Credit or Debit Cards are not accepted as a mode of payment VFS Service Charges: THB 482 per individual THB 362 per individual in case the applicants have same Nationality and Surname in a family of 3 or more

VFS Service charges can be paid by cash or by cashier's order/ banker's draft issued from any bank payable to "VFS (Thailand) Ltd." Outstation cashier’s order are subject to clearing and must be made payable at Bangkok only. The payment for additional Consular Service Fee of THB 70 per applicant to be added to the cashier’s order payable to VFS along with the VFS Service Charges.

Acceptance of applications by VFS does not guarantee the issue of visa.
Embassy reserves the right to decline a visa in case it deems appropriate to do so.
Visa application fee is non-refundable.
No claims for any refund of visa application fee will be entertained if a visa is rejected.
Gratis (Free) Six months multiple entry visa is granted only to Buddhist monks/nuns holding Thai passports intending to visit India for pilgrimage.

Note:
• Acceptance of applications by VFS does not guarantee the issue of visa.
• Embassy reserves the right to decline a visa in case it deems appropriate to do so.
• Stipulation of duration and type of visa is at the discretion of the embassy of India.
• Visa for India is effective from the date of issue and not from the future date to match applicant’s itinerary.
• Foreign nationals who have 6 months up to 10 years Tourist Visa with stay stipulation of 180 days/90 days with multiple entry facility, there should be a gap of 2 months between two visits to the country. However if any foreigner requires to visit Indian again within a period of 2 months of his last departure, he/she has to obtain special permission from the Head of Mission. To acquire the permission the applicant should furnish the undertaking mentioning the purpose of his/her visit and also that he/she is not engaged in Business activities, nor in Employment or pursuing studies/research etc.

• Embassy of India, Bangkok will normally issue Tourist visas for Single Entry valid for 3 months. This is applicable for both Thai and Non Thai Nationals.

Thai Nationals- For longer duration of Tourist visas they may be required to appear for an interview or submit additional documents as decided by the Embassy.
Buddhist monks/nuns holding Thai passports intending to visit India for pilgrimage:
Six months multiple entry Visa is granted without the need for an interview.
Non Thai Nationals- For longer duration of Tourist visas they have to appear for an interview and produce additional documents for justification. The decision to issue vests entirely with the Embassy.

To avoid delays when lodging the visa application should include the following:

• Only Online Visa Application Forms are accepted. Please note that handwritten or typed forms are no longer accepted. Incomplete visa forms/insufficient/false documents may result in visa rejection or possible delay.
• Additional Application Forms should be downloaded and filled in by Nationals of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and applicants of Pakistan origin as applicable.

• Correct visa fee.
• 2 recent passport size colour photographs with light background.
• The Passport should have a minimum validity of 6 months on the date of application with at least two blank pages. Tampered or damaged passports are not accepted.
• 2 sets of photocopies of the data page of the passport (passport page with photo/ extension of validity/ endorsement if applicable)
• Previous passport (if any)
• Copy of Work Permit/ Resident Permit (If any, only for non Thai nationals)
• Authority letter along with the representative’s ID card copy if applicant can not come personally.
• Any other supporting documents.
• This is not intended to be a complete list of documents that may be needed. Embassy officer reserves the right to ask for additional documents post submission of application.
